"Movement. Mentoring. Momentum."
2025 Our year so far

Madelaine Wright, an England Development Boxer, started the year with her first two-day training camp at the English Institute of Sport.

Natalia Kapral (far left) and Chloe Poole (far right) both attended The Athena sparring camp in Birmingham hosted by Acocks Green Amateur Boxing Club

"Our team is back in the gym after the holiday break, and the energy is contagious. Everyone is eager to push their limits and support each other in achieving their fitness goals. It's inspiring to see such dedication and camaraderie as we kick the new year together!"

Finishing the week with an exciting sparring day at our gym! We had the pleasure of welcoming clubs Newquay and Penhill, making it a fantastic opportunity to enhance our skills and build camaraderie. always great to connect with fellow fighters and push limits together.

Blake Boxer Gracjan Kapral boxed in the Western County Finals on Saturday, the 18th, in Bournemouth. He missed out on a split-decision loss, but this was his best performance thus far. Gracjan has really improved over the last 12 months through sheer dedication and self-belief. This was his first attempt at the championship level, and he made his opponent with over double the experience look ordinary.

Coach Jesse and Gracjan celebrate a superb performance and all of the hard work they put into building success.

Madelaine Wright attended another England Development camp, this one a two-day camp. Here, she is pictured with teammates Amy and Chloe after some quality sparring.
We are proud to have the pleasure of Coaching Simon at Blake. Improving fast with every session. Three Personal sessions per week is a sure way to reach the top. Simons' input makes him more than enough for everything he wishes to pursue.
High-paced speed and power from Youseff, fresh back from a training break in Thailand. He feels super fit and aims to keep the same pace. Youseff was joined this week by his pal Ryan from Scotland, who is new to boxing but gets through with grit and determination. There is no stopping too long as both return to Hinkley Point for a night shift.

The group of boxers pictured is a small private session we take twice weekly. All the lads, with very limited and often zero experience, have thrown themselves into the deep end with one thing in mind: to get fit, strong, and feeling brilliant—just the ticket to high amounts of confidence.
BLAKESTYLE - FEBRUARY - BLAKESTYLE
Sparring session at the Downend Amateur Boxing Club in Bristol, early February with Ignas Mockus.

More sparring occurred at the club with Armand, a French student at Cannington College. He is an excellent addition to the club and is pictured sparring with club boxer Nicolas Ciopei.

Connor Hill is enjoying his first time sparring at the Downend Amateur Boxing Club in Bristol and learning to unravel the puzzle of boxing.

It was a brilliant session at the club, mixing some of the younger schoolboy boxers with the seniors. Training alongside strong role models is always an excellent opportunity for young people to grow.

Final training camp of the year for Madelaine Wright and the England Development Team. What a superb learning experience this has been for her. Now it is time to prepare for the National Championships in four weeks; all the pictured boxers will be competing against one or another for a place back on the England Team; good luck to all boxers involved.
Madelaine worked tirelessly to gain a place on the Development Team; her commitment and dedication have rewarded her with valuable experience and vast improvements in skill, mentality, and confidence.

We wish Madelaine the best of luck preparing for the 2025/26 National Championships.
